My artwork featured in REV

For the month of May, my artwork is featured in REV coffee shop in Smyrna, Georgia! I am pleased to be able to hang it in such an institution in Atlanta, and one that I used to frequent when I lived in Smyrna for almost a year when I first moved to Georgia in 2018.

I had 3 large panels to spread my work across, and it seems as though I had just barely was able to fill all of the space. Since I had just completed the Inman Park Festival the day before I had some time to reflect on the current state of my artwork and how it looks together. I also discussed with my wife on how I have different categories of artwork as well, and while I feel like it all more or less fits together, spreading it into 3 different categories (more or less) works out well with the 3 panels.

On the left by the cash registers, I went with all of my Atlanta-themed prints and the collages “An Ode To Opulence and Excess” collages I had made for the previous show “Second Chances”. I fit a stretched canvas reprint of “Texas Sun” as well - I was hoping to not have only prints on one of the walls.

In the center, I was aiming to feature more faces and hands, as you can see here.

And closest to the door, I have more mushroom and skull focused paintings and prints. While these may not be the highest-quality photos, they were at night and taken quite quickly as it took much longer to hang these than I had anticipated. I was quite hungry and I had food waiting at home, I’ll go back and take more soon.

If you look in the bottom corner, I made a painting in 10x8 of the coffee shop! I haven’t drawn or painted many buildings before and I really like how this one came out with my psychedelic color scheme.

If you get the chance, I highly recommend checking out REV coffee, especially while my work is up this May! Thanks again to REV for having me!
